People at music festivals have gotten into too
many drugs. I see it every time I go. Drugs are a problem plaguing the high
schools and college age kids at these shows.
·
Parents are bringing their kids to music
festivals. KIDS DO NOT BELONG AT THESE SHOWS. Whenever I see any kids without
any large sized headphones I just feel so sad. Irresponsible parents are
hurting their children at such a young age already.
·
Every time I go to a show and I fall in love
with it no can understand how it felt for me. I wish there was a way for me to
able to show and identify the best part of my experience to my closest friends
and family.
I initially identified my problem
with a quote a friend of mine said after a show. We were at the Phish show at
the Northerly Island Pavilion by Soldier Field. Phish is a jam band with a
great set and some amazing sounds. To me Phish might be the most joyful music I
can listen to. So much intricacies go into the music, its totally layered and
all around has a warm sound. Couple the music with the absolute gorgeous
Chicago skyline on one side and Lake Michigan on the other its nearly
impossible to have a good time. I went with a bunch of my buds and it was just
absolutely mind-blowing. We all danced and laughed the night away. But on the
way out he mentioned something to me. He said that if everyone could experience
a Phish show like he does then the world could be a utopia. Needless to say
that is a bit farfetched. But it got me thinking
Him having mentioned that many
weeks before hand I was surprised when I remembered the incident during this
school year. I was visiting him at home earlier this semester when he made
mention of the Phish show. I reminded him about what he had said and we all had
a good laugh about it. But I got back to school and it reminded me of my CPF.
What if everyone could feel the same way he felt. I remember him during the
show, he was happy, smiling, peaceful, and full of pure bliss. How could I
transport that feeling into other people.
This is an important problem mainly
because there are so many experiences many people cant ever have that others
can. Not everyone has the money to go to a Phish show. Or maybe not everyone
can see from the top of Mount Everest. Or the bottom of the Grand Canyon. Or
see the sheer massive size of the pyramids. We can all look at pictures but do
I really get the same feeling? Probably not. I have seen plenty of pictures of
it but have I ever experienced these things?? No
So far the closest thing to a
memory sharer is probably Google Glasses. Google glass allows you to “see”
through the perspective of the viewer. You can share the glasses or upload the
videos online. It is pretty much the new version of the Go-Pro.
